I'm not sure if this is a concern with other graphic artists/illustrators/designers out there, but I've often been urged not to show too much of the "cartoony" stuff.

After stiffling a high-pitched whail of frustration, I go ahead and do it anyway. Anyone smart enough to spot a competent graphics person can see the worth in artwork that doesn't fit neatly into a specific industry. A vibrant sense of color and composition are represented here.

But it's just cool, isn't it? A big 'ole gun and some streamers of fire - how can you not like that? Stuff like this is the reason I picked up a pencil.
